Gourmet is a French term that means Gastronomic,  “Gourmet” is someone who is a good connoisseur of the procedures of professional cooking and also everything related to wines and liquors has a very refined taste about gastronomy and an essential knowledge about the wines.

It is a taster, who knows and distinguishes excellent flavors well, turning the kitchen into a gastronomic adventure and creating a culture that develops in the art of elegant and good living.

A “Gourmet” meal can be almost any dish we try, what makes it to be in that quality is the shape and taste of the person who made it, by example we can eat a couple of fried eggs and they are good, but if we eat a pair of fried eggs “Gourmet” is because they are made with a pure virgin olive oil,  chosen by someone who really knows about it, they were fried at a certain temperature, so they do not lose the aroma, also have some species added that provide an incredible flavor and the salt is really at its perfect point, with a clean and impressive presentation, with this example we can see in a couple of fried eggs what can be a difference between eating them, and they are nice, or to eat them and really enjoy  with a gastronomic context.

There are a vast variety of materials to make a meal “Gourmet” it is so broad that you can not really think that the quality of the food depends on all those elements, it is more the combination that makes a person aware of all of them.

Among the materials that can be used to make “Gourmet” dishes are: Hams and sausages, cheeses and dairy products, Fish and seafood, Red meats and white meats, Sauces and spices, Breads and pastries, wines and liquors. The list is so wide that we can realize that it is not the materials themselves that are “Gourmets” is the work and knowledge of the person who makes them and the taste and subtlety with which he does it.

Commercially some food production companies and some restaurants talk about being “Gourmets”, it may be that some restaurant perhaps are, but many of them what they do is take advantage of that word and its meaning to make false advertising because in many cases They can’t prove if they are required to do so.
